Logistics planner required for high class automotive manufacturer based in Basildon Essex
The role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving problems.
Duties:
- Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
- Analyse and prepare documents needed for production
- Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
- May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency
- Liaise with stores regarding kitting of works orders
- Creating sales orders
- Creating scheduled purchase orders
- Send pick notes to stores
- Create delivery notes for dispatches
- Create box labels for production
- Packaging – internally and externally
- Create goods receipts
- Maintain monthly KPI’s for MP&L team
- Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare
